"Madonna della Neve" chapel

20 / 26

It was built after the terrible plague epidemic of 1630 by the Saracen Count of Scagne and Castiglione. It was sold to the family of Giuseppe Calligaris who, during a radical restoration, had a tomb built in the basement of the Chapel. It was later owned by the Arione family, but when it fell into a state of abandonment it was merged with the assets of the Parish. During the recent restoration, the remains of the Calligaris family were found in the underground tomb and transferred to the municipal cemetery. Inside there is a painting of S. Anna in memory of the related chapel once present in Piazza Trento e Trieste. Celebrations on August 5th every year by the families adjacent to the Chapel.
