Murales Cuntrà Zura

In three murals in today's Via San Sebastiano known as Cuntrà Zura, the street above, the painter Luigi Carbone, a famous painter from the Langa, depicted three peasant scenes from the past. They represent the great manual labor that our grandparents once did working the hills of the Langa. The hazelnut harvest was completely manual because there were no modern mechanical harvesters. There were also many fields with the cultivation of wheat which was used for the production of flour and bread, whose plowing and preparation of the land was done with cows and oxen pulling the plough.
