The mural recalls various events and characters of Borgo Remondato. They are simple characters who lived in the last century and in the pictorial representation there is a hypothesis of their encounter with today's children. Furthermore, the mural represents a war scene when in 1944 the Germans arrived in the town of Diano d'Alba to round up the partisans. Through secret informants they knew that in this house there was one or more partisans on sentry duty in the town. They inspected every corner of the house and, not finding any partisans, set fire. The mayor of Diano accused of favoring the partisans was arrested and shot. In the meantime, the partisans had managed to escape from the tunnel behind the house, the entrance to which was well hidden. Some legends tell of a safety tunnel departing from the ancient Castle of Diano and it is likely that this tunnel of medieval origin was part of it.
